Events in April 2024

and one in March...

 

Tuesday 26th March 7 pm Start - ACBA County Pairs Session 2, with £1 entry fee on top of the usual table money. There is no need to notify the club in advance if you intend to play.

 

Tuesday 2nd April 7 pm Start - The Austwick Cup competition for pairs. There is no need to notify the club in advance if you intend to play.

 

Tuesday 9th April 7 pm Start - ACBA Teams Championship instead of the Hicks Teams competition.
Please contact Stephen in person or via stephen.royal@bristolbridgeclub.co.ukwith the names of your team members or if you would like him to find you a partner or another pair to make up a team.

 

Sunday 21st April - Curtis Cup Round 1
When  - Play starts at 1:15 and will finish around 8:00pm
Cost  - £10 for 2 playing sessions, a substantial buffet,  glass of wine and cash prizes.

 

Please sign up your pair on the sheet on the notice board at the club before the 18th April.
Round 2 will take place on Sunday 22nd September.

On going events at the Club

1) The club is running a 4 week "Introduction to Bridge" courses every three months on the 3rd April5th July and the 2nd Oct, Wednesdays at 7.30-9:30pm£10 per lesson.  For more details contact:  teaching@bristolbridgeclub.co.uk

 

2) There is also a "Beginners 10 weeks course" on Wednesdays starting 1st May7:30-9:30pm: £10 per lesson. For more details contact:  teaching@bristolbridgeclub.co.uk

 

3) Friday night 4 Board session.
The club is open from 6pm for friendly, non duplicate play, come along as an individual, a pair or a group and play as many board as you like.
Food is available see attached for menu and bridge experts are on hand for help and advice. 

Dates for your diary 

Tuesday 21st May the club's Men's Pairs and Ladies Pairs competitions with trophies for the winners of each one.

 

Tuesday 28th May the ACBA Mixed Pairs competition with a trophy for the winning pair.

News

The club will be open and running all the normal bridge sessions on both Good Friday and Easter Monday.

 

The cost of the Wednesday teaching sessions will be £10 and a new drinks tariff will come into place from April.
